Payroll Manager role overview:
Based in Southampton, our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for two direct reports and will ensure the efficient and timely running of the company’s payroll.
What the Payroll Manager role will involve:
- Overseeing and directs the company’s payroll procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws; payroll tax obligations; and internal policies.
- Managing and coaching the payroll team to deliver the company’s payroll in a timely fashion.
- Liaising with auditors and manages payroll tax audits.
- Staying up to date with changes to payroll legislation.
- Collaborating with the wider HR function.
- Maintaining colleague confidence by keeping information confidential.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in a Payroll Manager or Team Leader role.
- Strong IT skills including the full Microsoft package specifically Excel.
- In depth experience of Payroll systems.
- Experience of handling payroll in the retail industry desirable.
