Job Title: Payroll Manager
Salary: up to £54,600 DOE
Contract: 18 Month Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover
Hours: Full Time - Hybrid options, up to 2 days per week at home
Liberty Recruitment Group is thrilled to be partnering with a highly regarded local employer who truly values their people, to recruit a Payroll Manager, based in Southampton on a fixed-term contract for 18 Months.

You will be responsible for managing the payroll and pension functions for around 500 employees, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time.
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage the end-to-end internal payroll process.
- Ensure compliance with legislation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records relating to payroll transactions using the payroll and HR system as well as internal databases.
- Generate and submit required reports as required by HR Director to regulatory authorities such as HMRC.
- Oversee the payroll system and software to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with regulations.
- Co-ordinate with the wider HR team to ensure accurate administration of employee benefits.
- Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from colleagues or line managers.
What we’re looking for:
- CIPP qualified desirable
- Previous experience in managing payroll end-to-end for a large workforce
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
